As my clients are already aware, a month ago I was faced with the decision to pull back my hours spent coaching Crossfit in order to take on more responsibilities at HP. It was a tough decision given my passion, love for the clients and investment in Crossfit, but passing the baton to a fellow coach was the right thing to do for the clients and me.
I have spent the last couple of weeks sharing the tough news with my clients as well as helping to prepare Heather Reed to take over the LCRA 5pm and 6:30pm. My emotions are very mixed. There is a part of me that says you do this, you can have it all. Well yes, if you work 65 hours a week and feel ok with giving less than 100%. Anyone who knows me is aware I give 120%, nothing less.
The other part of me says, this is not fair to the clients and you. Something's got to give when you stretch yourself too thin.
When I represent Crossfit I want to give our clients the same experience my fellow coaches provide and it's nothing short of total dedication and commitment. They deserve it.
During the last 8 months I've been inspired, amazed and truly blessed to enjoy one of my most amazing journeys. My clients always amazed me with their courage, strength and dedication to their health. Yes, they show up at 5pm, 106 degree weather; endure the elements while getting the most out of their workout. They never give up!
I can't say enough about the coaches at Crossfit Central. One of my clients put it well the other day, "Crossfit Central is a reputable, professional, solid fitness group and the one bootcamp that gives you results." These coaches pour their heart and soul into their passion and craft. I will continue to sing their praises and encourge people to join them for a class.
I can't call out one or a few folks because I would be afraid to leave someone out and more importantly, there were so many people that impacted my journey in so many ways.
This is NOT the end!
I will continue my passion. It will just be through other avenues. I hope to have the opportunity to coach and enjoy the hard work, tears, sweat and laughter sometime in the future.
Thank you all for your support, commitment and smiles. I hope you continue to follow me on my blog as I have much more to say!
