I was out on a run this morning around Lady Bird Lake in Austin, TX and noticed there were a few fit people on the trail, but I also noticed a lot folks who I see quite often that aren't so fit. Do they understand why they don't see progress? I always wonder if they truly understand that exercise is a small part of what being fit truly is. In my opinion the biggest factor is your nutrition. Until these folks decide to change what they consume they may never see the results or growth that is within their reach.
I don't mean to take away from their commitment and dedication to exercise (we all know it takes a lot of discipline to exercise in our own), but I wonder...if they have the discipline to wake up on a Sunday morning and hit the trail, why would it be so hard to make a few changes in their nutrition? Little do they know those changes (if they follow paleo or other high protein and good fat nutrition) can be more enjoyable then what they consume today.
I couldn't wait for lunch after my green tea with heavy cream this morning. Roger and I enjoyed a yummy sardine salad which consisted of:
Organic greens, wild caught sardines, grass-fed Kilaree cheddar cheese, heirloom tomatoes, hardboiled-eggs, avocado, onions, coconut oil and a dash of balsamic vinegar.
Oooohhh...that salad looks yummy!
