Yes, that is the before photo that shows the deep lines in my cheeks and eye area. With my passion for outdoor sports and fitness comes the price of sun damage. I don't regret it, but I would like to regain some of my skin's elasticity and suppleness.
I walked into my first cosmetic acupuncture treatment and since I had the full body acupuncture I knew what to expect. Phyllis started the process with inserting shallow needles into my wrists and feet in order to balance the flow of Qi (energy). She proceeded with three in my scalp and then started with the right side of my face. I will say during the process I experienced little to no pain. When I did experience slight discomfort she informed me when I would feel it and why. The only discomfort I experienced was my sinus area which is where most people have blockages. She then proceeded with my left side. Needles are placed in deep grooves as well as small lines on the face. Once she is finished I lay relaxed for approximately 30 minutes listening to soothing music. I tend to float in and out of a light sleep. My body feels heavy, like it’s melting into the bed. The sensation is so relaxing and puts you in a meditative state.
After the treatment she gently removes the needles as I lay half asleep. She then applies an organic lotion that is soothing to the skin. As soon as the treatment is complete my face looked supple and my color was more even. One of the side benefits was my sinus pathways were clear compared to when I started. I felt so refreshed, peaceful and content. I walked out of the office with vibrant and glowing skin. I look forward to sharing my photos over the next four weeks.
This is a great blog, usually i don't post comments on blogs but I would like to say that this post really forced me to do so!
